Job Description

BwB is looking for a Senior Debt Capital Markets & Development Finance Expert to support a potential assignment focused on sustainable bond issuances, financial partnerships, and development finance in emerging markets.  

Qualifications

Required: 

  • 10+ years of experience in debt capital markets (DCM), including direct experience with green, social, sustainability and sustainability-linked bond issuances, covering bond structuring, underwriting, issuance mechanics, and regulatory frameworks. 

  • 10+ years of experience in partnership structuring and relationship management, including developing and managing commercial partnerships between banks, development agencies, and governments, and engaging senior stakeholders across the financial and public sectors. 

  • 10+ years of experience in emerging market development finance, building partnerships with DFIs, commercial investors, guarantee providers, insurers and public/private financial institutions. Experience of working with institutions such as IFC, MIGA, bilateral DFIs, and commercial banks. 

  • C1-level English and German (fluent, near-native). 

  • A university degree in finance, business administration, mathematics, or a related field. 

  • Three professional references who can verify the above experience. 

  • Willingness and ability to travel (Europe and emerging market countries).
