Job Description

The Lead Integration Engineer reports directly to the Director of Operations, Growth & Enterprise Architecture and responsible for developing practical and workable digital solutions for the business and technical teams, analyzing and evaluating systems and business requirements to craft scalable and adaptable solutions, and collaborating with Operations, Enterprise, Growth, and Digital teams.

What you'll be doing:

Strategic Integration Leadership

  1. Collaborates with the Director of Operations & Enterprise Architecture to define and implement the overall integration vision and roadmap.
  2. Partners with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technically sound and feasible integration plans.
  3. Works with development teams to offer technical guidance and ensure compliance with MuleSoft best practices.

Solution Design & Architecture

  1. Designs and develops MuleSoft integration solutions that align with the organization's business needs and standards.
  2. Builds architecture diagrams and workflows to demonstrate steps and describe logical operational steps of the system.
  3. Leads technical discussions and create accurate work estimates and design solutions to ensure efficient project execution
  4. Creates and upkeeps documentation for MuleSoft integration solutions, encompassing architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications.

Project Execution & Subject Matter Expertise

  1. Represents and communicates technical requirements and trade-offs in a business environment to facilitate effective decision making
  2. Works on complex projects independently and with a team during multiple phases of a project
  3. Acts as a “consultant” on complex projects/initiatives as a subject matter expert
  4. Identifies potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to proactively address challenges.

Team Support and Collaboration

  1. Provides MuleSoft support during season
  2. Works on enhancements to CI/CD as required
  3. Collaborates with technical teams located in different geo locations: North America, Manila and India.
  4. Provides support during testing various integrations working with cross functional teams (Digital/Enterprise/QA)

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.

  • Minimum of five (5) years in integration development and MuleSoft implementation.

  • Must have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Mule Runtime, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave, and API management.

  • Has the ability to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain integration solutions using MuleSoft. 

  • Must be familiar with MuleSoft best practices and design patterns.

  • Must have expertise in API design and management using MuleSoft's API Manager.

  • Must be proficient in the fundamentals of Java programming (syntax, data types, control flow) and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts, along with experience using popular Java frameworks like Spring Framework, Hibernate, and Apache Struts.

  • Experience working with ERP, CRM & Data Warehouse systems is a plus.

  • Has experience in designing scalable and high-performance integration solutions.

  • Retail and eCommerce industry experience is desirable.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively bridge the gap between business and technical teams.

Location: The Lead Integration Engineer position is a work-from-home position for Balsam International Unlimited Philippine ROHQ in Manila. Team members in the Philippines are located within Metro Manila, Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, and Tarlac areas only.

Our must-haves:

  • Must be open to joining some face-to-face gatherings, like our monthly functional meetings and quarterly teamwide events.
  • Must have a back-up laptop or desktop for use, if primary laptop encounters issues.
  • Must have a fast, reliable DSL, Fiber or Broadband connection (not mobile or broadband stick) as the primary internet connection with a minimum actual speed of 10MBPS.
  • Must have a back-up internet connection of the same speed, if primary connection becomes spotty.

Status: This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.

Hardware Provision: Company-issued Laptop will be provided on the first day.
