WHAT WE DO IN SEEKER 

The mission of the Seeker domain at Aviv is to make finding your home a joyful process. We accomplish that by building a multi-brand, multi-market platform across web and app that guides seekers effortlessly to their happy place. We are structured into 4 pillars to reflect the customer journey (Attract, Activate, Retain, Connect), with each pillar comprising 4-5 impact teams focused on solving a specific set of customer problems. This role is to lead the Connect pillar with the following focus: 

  • help home seekers evaluate a property by providing all of the information in a property rich detail page ;

  • innovate in the space of communication between home seekers and home owners/agents ;

  • discover and develop rich sources of content to help the seeker understand the city and neighborhood ;

  • aiding the seeker in understanding their affordability and connecting them to financing partners.

The Seeker domain is distributed in 3 different countries (Germany, France, Belgium) allowing us to keep the pulse from the team and understand where they need support.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN INDIVIDUAL WHO CAN :

As Director, your responsibility would be to define and oversee execution of the Connect Product strategy with your design and engineering counterparts. Furthermore, you would be responsible to coordinate, mentor and support your team in the following areas :

STRATEGY & PLANNING

  • Translate the company objectives into a strategic pillars and a tangible roadmap, fostering clarity and alignment across all teams ;

  • Set a clear prioritization, allowing the teams to allocate resources effectively to achieve maximum results ;

  • Define success metrics and OKRs at a pillar level.

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT CRAFT

  • Actively supporting product teams to implement new skills and product management best practices (framework and methodology application, retrospectives, continuous improvement) ;

  • Striving to continuously raise the bar of product management excellence ;

  • Guide teams in best practices for discovery ;

  • Help teams to set appropriate KPIs and OKRs and estimate and deliver impact.

LEADERSHIP & PRACTICES

  • Recruit and develop a team of Product Managers towards excellence ; 

  • Develop the product practice across the domain and champion it across the Product & Tech organization ; 

  • Own the creation and ongoing improvement of practices, processes, tools, and documentation standards, ensuring efficiency and also helping maintain their relevance and effectiveness, creating a foundation for continuous improvement and agility ;

  • Facilitating product cross-team collaboration through dedicated events and rituals (on premise/remote), tooling, or any other activities in collaboration with other teams.

ADDITIONAL LEADERSHIP DUTIES

  • Lead the Connect pillar on a day-to-day basis and build strong relationships with key stakeholders (including C-level) at both central and regional levels, influencing their decisions and achieving company goals" ;

  • Act as a central point of contact between the Product organization and its global stakeholders ;

  • Identify and act on system-wide patterns creating operational challenges and then prioritize and orchestrate the work needed to solve them.

Qualifications

AN INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS :

  • Manager with 7+ years  experience in product management, with significant exposure/experience in (strategic company) product planning and 5+ years in people management across a large international and diverse product and tech organization (500+) ;

  • Deep understanding of product management best practices and frameworks ;

  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for process improvement ;

  • Comfortable working with unknowns and shifting priorities ;

  • Comfortable with, and experienced in coaching other product managers ;

  • Able to work on high-level initiatives as well as do deep into the day-to-day operations ;

  • Collaborative and open to new ideas ;

  • English fluent (french, german or dutch is a plus) ;

  • Lean and Agile mindset.
