Job Description

About the role

The Associate Manager, Administration oversees general administration, facilities, and support functions to ensure efficient and productive operations. This role is responsible for supervising administrative staff, managing budgets, driving compliance, and strategically planning administrative services across operations in Bangladesh.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily administrative operations, office activities, maintenance, security, cleanliness, and workplace safety to streamline workflows.
  • Manage office facilities, including space planning, supply procurement, vendor contracts, fleet/shuttle services, housekeeping, and medical services.
  • Develop and execute a site waste management strategy aligned with corporate sustainability goals and local regulations.
  • Prepare and manage the administrative budget, monitor expenses, process purchase orders/invoices, and drive cost-optimization projects.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with internal policies, health, safety, environmental regulations, and the Bangladesh Labour Act.
  • Oversee site crisis response, business continuity planning, and local risk management, including emergency contingencies.
  • Support employee welfare, health initiatives, onboarding, and execute employee engagement and cultural events.
  • Manage expatriate logistics, including housing, transportation, work permits, VISAs, and legal passes for expat families.
  • Manage scrap yard operations, brand protection integration, local CSR initiatives, and sitewide branding guidelines.

Qualifications

  • MBA or BBA in Human Resources Management.
  • 5-7 years of progressive HR and administration experience.
  • Hands-on experience managing HR and facilities within an Export Processing Zone (EPZ) environment.
  • Deep expertise in Industrial Relations and Bangladesh Labour Law.
  • Proven track record in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), agreement and policy making, and project execution.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Oracle Software and Google-based development tools.
  • Strong capabilities in budget management, cost optimization, and vendor/stakeholder management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and crisis management skills.
