Job Description
As a Plant Manager, you are responsible for overall operational results. You will provide senior oversight in optimizing the daily operations of a facility while ensuring production goals are met efficiently and effectively. You will bring a deep understanding of operational best practices, strategic planning, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will participate in the annual operating plan process, understand long-term strategic plans, and set department goals in support of these plans. You will partner with and influence other department leaders in achieving the broader goals of Avery Dennison’s manufacturing operations.
This is an on-site position located in Greenfield, IN.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide senior oversight in optimizing daily facility operations while ensuring production goals are met efficiently and effectively.
Participate in the annual operating plan process, understand long-term strategic plans, and establish site goals in support of these plans.
Manage multiple teams and shifts, coordinate resources, and streamline processes across departments and functions to achieve high levels of productivity, quality, and safety.
Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and company policies while maintaining a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.
Coach leaders and team members, provide clear feedback, attract top talent, build organizational capability, and foster an inclusive workplace culture.
- Champion continuous learning, ensuring all team members are empowered with clear, actionable, and well-communicated annual goals.
Align workforce planning and resource allocation to outpace the competition, ensuring the flawless execution of growth priorities.
Lead by example as a proactive change agent, cultivating a highly collaborative culture that unites teams and creates a burning desire to exceed shared business goals.
Champion a culture of uncompromising integrity, embedding the Corporation’s Code of Business Ethics, Values, and Leadership Principles into every facet of the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field required.
10+ year’s successful multi-functional Operations experience including management and employee development.
Proven experience in manufacturing operations leadership or plant management within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge and demonstrated execution of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards and continuous improvement methodologies.
Demonstrated track record in developing and executing business plans, managing annual operating budgets, and driving operational metrics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional leaders and inspire operational teams.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills to evaluate operational performance, optimize workflows, and drive strategic decision-making.
