Job Description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

Scope and general purpose of the role: 

Overall Commercial and FP&A support to Middle East/Africa (MEA) Business and Region. Actively support the Commercial and Sales teams with commercial guidance. Custodian of BI development and related data integrity/maintenance. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

MONTH-END CLOSING:  (10%)

  • Submit weekly sales orders in HFM on time as required

  • Update monthly rebates and discounts workings or perform review if prepared by others. Track sales discount agreements and arrange for credit note processing at designated contract time. 

  • Perform designated expense review (eg. samples) and raise appropriate accruals where expenses are missing or reallocate expenses where required. 

  • Submit regional flash reporting for Reflective and Tapes division and review final results for both 

  • Supplementary information preparation and submission to SSO.

  • General support to the SSO during month end activities, in order to achieve HFM submission on day 3

  • Update sales information for Global customer scorecards

FP & A SUPPORT:  (20%)

  • Update of various regionally assigned monthly and quarterly reporting schedules 

  • Prepare financial smartview templates for inclusion in the MBR presentation deck

  • Assume responsibility for monthly regional reporting requirements including, but not limited to:

    • Flash report during financial closing week for responsible BU’s

    • Pulse report during 3rd week of the month for responsible BU’s

    • GM Scorecard (pricing updates)

    • Rolling forecast preparation

    • Preparation of first draft of the Business Review presentation deck and circulate to responsible persons for comments

  • Perform commercial regional and local reporting as required

  • Ensure team keeps to regional timelines in terms of monthly reporting

  • Attend regional FP&A meetings/calls as and when required

  • Responsible for all regional reporting for the Reflective and Tapes businesses

FORECAST, ANNUAL BUDGET AND STRATPLAN:  (Ad-Hoc  10%)

  • Assume accountability for monthly sales forecast file, and associated commercial trackers.

  • Prepare schedules and reports required for annual budget pack

  • Contribute towards preparation of presentation deck and reviews

  • Preparation and upload of HFM data (Reflective and Tapes)

  • Stratplan: Support with assigned responsibilities as part of Stratplan process, focussing on Industry and price related updates

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE:  (15%)

  • Manage Cognos (data warehouse) updates and uploads including data preparation and data reconciliation

  • Update sales data required by the commercial team, (Eg. Sales Pivot file, DataStudio, etc)

  • Develop reports as requested by internal customers

  • Oversee and review  PLT reporting and PLT Data Integrity

  • Assume responsibility for all sales and commercial reporting

  • Review master data integrity (BI driver)

COMMERCIAL BUSINESS PARTNERING:  (35%)

  • Review and update price change request

  • Perform workings and support for price change decisions

  • Proactively review SKU profitability and discussions with Sales team

  • Finance and Commercial related support to the Sales Teams

  • Flag risk areas of low margins, pricing anomalies, etc

  • Provide proactive commercial insights and feedback to Management

  • Identify, interpret and advise on the impact of costs changes

GENERAL:  (10%)

  • Provide support for stock take as and when required

  • Support during statutory audit as and when required

  • Training support to the business on areas of expertise i.e. Google, BI etc.

  • General finance support to the business

  • Responsible for VAT administration (return submissions, VAT recon, etc.

Qualifications

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR:

  • Be approachable to team members and have strong communication skills

  • Computer literacy – Google suite, with Google Sheets and MS Excel at an Advance level

  • BI experience – COGNOS capabilities/ Data warehousing and Integrated systems

  • Commercial support/understanding of key business drivers 

  • FP&A reporting

  • Experience in regional reporting, prepare presentations and experience in a multinational environment
