Job Description
Summary of Position
The Associate Director of Admissions for PSEO (Post-Secondary Enrollment Options) is a key leadership position within the Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) division in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The Associate Director is responsible for driving sustainable growth through impactful student recruitment and admission activities. This position oversees the enrollment management functions for the University's PSEO (dual enrollment) students. This position leads the strategy and carries out the core tasks in order to achieve targeted growth goals for dual enrolled students that support Augsburg's strategic plan.
Primary Responsibilities
PSEO student, family, CBO (Community-Based Organizations) and high school staff engagement (40-50%).
- Lead all PSEO and niche programs (e.g., Urban Debate League) recruitment initiatives, managing the pipeline from lead generation, high school outreach, and targeted marketing campaigns to application review, enrollment yield, and summer matriculation conversion.
- Serve as a student success coach within the Augsburg Applies to You platform, guiding prospective and current students through inquiry response, application completion, academic advising, and course registration.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key high school staff and internal campus partners—including Advising, SEM Operations, School Directors, and Student Accounts—to deliver differentiated communications, optimize promotional materials, and streamline program operations.
Admissions Leadership & Data Driven Recruitment (20-30%)
- Provide mentorship and supervisory support to the undergraduate admissions team while actively driving recruitment, yield, and anti-melt strategies using CRM data to optimize business practices.
- Solicit team input to design, execute, and evaluate targeted communication strategies and recruitment events, ensuring all initiatives align with enrollment goals and maximize applicant engagement.
Administrative Responsibilities (20%)
- Oversee PSEO enrollment projections, revenue budget planning, and state reimbursement processes while setting program policies, authoring the PSEO handbook, and aligning course offerings with academic enrollment goals.
- Direct and develop direct reports by providing skill training and fostering professional growth, while convening internal and external PSEO advisory groups to enhance program positioning and community awareness.
- Partner with undergraduate admissions and the SEM Operations Team to drive promotional support, leveraging student-experience insights to advance key institutional strategies like Augsburg Applies to YOU and Power of US.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with staff meetings and collaborate to further develop the Belonging Organizational Structure within the division.
- Support professional development efforts throughout the SEM division.
- Other duties and new projects as apparent or assigned.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
- Hybrid-work schedule with regular on-campus and remote- work options
- The typical work environment is an office.
- Extensive phone and computer use.
- This position required travel, including some overnight stays, by automobile or air, to attend and present at various recruitment events.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Five (5) years of experience in college admissions, enrollment management, and/or comparable professional roles.
- Experience with CRM software.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree.

Compensation & Benefits at Augsburg
- The compensation range is $65,000 to $70,000 annually, DOQ.
