Job Description
Summary:
- Client Solution Engineers play a crucial role in our consulting engagements. Responsibilities range from a wide variety of tasks. A CSE must be skilled in every aspect of a project in which they are involved while still staying abreast to bleeding edge technologies.
- CSE's meet with customers (in person or remotely) to assist in requirements gathering and technical discussions, while providing suggestions on how to best integrate/optimize the workflow using thePlatform's services.
- The ability to identify a technical gap is essential and providing best-practice approaches to these gaps is highly desired. Exceptional verbal and written communication is a must.
Responsibilities:
Implementation
- Configure accounts in MPX. Wire up to function for customer workflow.
- Proof of concepts/mockups. Exhibit requirements through base implementations using the Platform's product offerings to demo capabilities to customers in order to build technical confidence
- Assist in unit testing, on-site installations, performance tests, configuration etc.
- Identify common components to build into our client implementation.
- Identify and propose ideas for new components and refactoring of core feature
- Assist in the design and implementation of components and solutions for customer-specific professional services agreements.
Customer Interaction
- Assist in writing customer specifications for content ingest and custom workflows.
- Craft professional emails to communicate issues, an update on progress and provide technical consulting.
- Respond quickly to critical customer problems.
- Support trials, proof of concepts, and customer investigations of the Platform's core products.
Development
- Ability to write scripts or services (language agnostic) to assist in implementation of products
- Provide overviews and documentation to customers for API usage and considerations.
- Write scripts to troubleshoot product services.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and CRUD operations.
Troubleshooting
- System troubleshooting.
- Enterprise-level service deployment and general Linux management.
- Device level troubleshooting using industry standard tools and utilities. Includes, but not limited to, using HTTP debugging proxies, using device simulators, browser-based developer consoles, etc.
Documentation
- Document designs and review them with the both internal and external teams.
- Create, maintain, and document specific customer implementations (Lab, trial accounts, etc.).
- Configuration management- Track different configurations and add to source control.
- Write customer and project artifacts and manage different specifications in confluence
- Actively participate in the direction of the Platform's products and architecture by providing consistent feedback on core components 'from the field'.
Requirements
- Past experiences working under a consulting firm or in a consulting capacity highly desired, but not required.
- Understanding REST, Web Services, and relevant design patterns.
- Familiarity with Linux operating system at an intermediate level
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, creativity and resourcefulness.
- Strong communication skills.
- An aptitude for coming up with a diverse hypothesis for testing theories.
- A passion for design and a drive to get the details right.
- A dedication to customer satisfaction.
- Travel up to 20%
