Job Description

Role Overview

You will manage and secure enterprise network infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments, ensuring reliable connectivity, strong security posture, and consistent network operations. The role combines hands-on administration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of network security capabilities.

Responsibilities

Network Security & Operations

  • Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot network security solutions
  • Manage firewalls, routing, switching, and secure access technologies
  • Ensure secure and stable operation of enterprise network infrastructure
  • Support hybrid connectivity (on-prem and cloud environments)

Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide 2nd line support for network and security-related incidents
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting (network flows, packet analysis, firewall dataplane)
  • Investigate and resolve connectivity, performance, and security issues

Configuration & Implementation

  • Implement and maintain network configurations across environments
  • Manage VPNs, secure remote access, and network segmentation
  • Support wireless and wired network integrations (e.g. 802.1X, NAC)

Security & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify gaps in network security controls and propose improvements
  • Support Zero Trust and modern security architecture initiatives
  • Contribute to migration efforts (e.g. SASE/SSE, cloud networking)

Documentation & Governance

  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operating procedures
  • Ensure adherence to network security policies and standards

Qualifications

Core Networking

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and network security policies
  • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, NTP and core network services
  • Understanding of wired and wireless access technologies

Security & Encryption

  • Knowledge of HTTPS, SSL/TLS, PKI, and certificate-based authentication
  • Experience with traffic filtering (stateful/stateless)

Infrastructure & Tools

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise network environments
  • Experience with Cisco (routing/switching), Palo Alto (firewalls, Panorama), wireless solutions
  • Familiarity with endpoint network configurations (Windows, Linux, iOS)

Cloud & Modern Networking

  • Azure networking (VNets, segmentation, private endpoints, hybrid connectivity)
  • Network security controls (NSGs, routing, isolation)
  • Experience with SASE/SSE and Zero Trust principles is an advantage
  • Exposure to WAF and Load Balancing solutions

Certifications

  • CCNP Security or equivalent (required)
  • CCSP or Azure AZ-305 (nice to have)
