Job Description
- Manages effectively and efficiently the project within its complete lifecycle and scope
- Establishes and manages project controls in order to ensure that the milestones are met and project products delivered on time and within scope and the business goals are enabled
- Assures and controls quality of the project deliverables
- Identifies, tracks, monitors and communicates project-related issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies that may arise during the implementation of the project
- Liaise with Project Board and other key stakeholders
- Assigns and controls the tasks, authorizes work packages, balance priorities and workload in the team, motivates project team members
- Plans and controls project products delivery processes
- Manages effective communication within the project and with external environment of the project
- Produces project management products (like plans, logs, schedules). Defines the responsibilities of parties involved in the project
- Prepares and presents oral and written technical reports and project presentations
- Organizes and conducts project meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Working knowledge of English: C1 or higher level.
- Minimum of 8 years of IT-relevant professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years in project experience relevant to the profile
or at a similar position - Experience in leading at least 1 medium-large ICT project as a project manager
- Knowledge and experience in applying of project management methodologies and methods
- Knowledge and experience in applying Agile methodologies
- Possesses a thorough understanding of IT and its application to business needs
- Is conversant with current technologies and trends relevant to the project and the relevant Specific Contracts
- Presents excellent communication skills, including the ability to produce high quality written material and presentations for a variety of audiences
- Aligns his work easily to the changing environment, is able to work effectively in a variety of situations, seeks improvements and proactively looks to further improvements
- Presents strong problem-solving skills
- Displays strong leadership
- Possesses the ability to work effectively with colleagues, managers and suppliers
- Has knowledge/experience in the area of Data Privacy, Data Protection Impact Assessments, Business Continuity, and Information Security Risk Assessment in the environment of EU Institutions, understands its challenges and methods for conducting effective analysis/assessment in those areas
- Has excellent conflict management and resolution skills
- Has experience working for/at the public sector, preferably in International organisations or EU Institutions
At least 1 certification among:
- PRINCE2 Practitioner or Project Management Professional (PMP)
- PM2 Essential
- PM2 Advanced • or an equivalent certification recognized internationally (subject to acceptance as a valid credential by the Contracting Authority)
