We are currently recruiting for a Food Service Assistant to join our team at Palace Barracks, Holywood, BT18 9RA. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused individual to become part of a busy catering operation supporting Defence Services.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with food preparation and food service
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the catering operation
• Providing friendly, professional, and efficient customer service
• Operating tills and handling cash transactions accurately
• Supporting the catering team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Replenishing stock and keeping service areas well presented
• Following food safety, health & safety, and company procedures at all times
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent customer experience

About you

• Previous experience in a catering or hospitality environment is desirable
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexible approach and ability to adapt to changing business needs
• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent customer service
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, organised, and willing to learn

Important Requirements

• Applicants must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years and have the legal right to work in the UK.
• Successful candidates must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
