We are currently recruiting for a Chef to join our team at Vimy Barracks, Catterick Garrison, DL9 3PS. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and skilled chef to work within a busy catering operation, delivering high-quality food and excellent service while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality meals in line with menus and recipes
• Ensuring food is presented to a consistently high standard
• Supporting daily kitchen operations and food service delivery
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and allergen management standards
• Assisting with stock control, stock rotation, and ordering processes
• Minimising food waste and supporting kitchen efficiency
• Ensuring kitchen equipment is used and maintained safely
• Keeping kitchen and food preparation areas clean, organised, and compliant
• Working collaboratively with the wider catering team to deliver excellent customer service

About you

• Previous experience working as a Chef in a busy catering or hospitality environment
• Relevant culinary qualification is desirable
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Positive, flexible, and team-focused approach
• Passion for delivering high-quality food and service

Important Requirements

• Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check.
• Security clearance will also be required prior to commencing employment.
• Ability to work within a military environment and comply with all site security procedures.
