Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a Chef to join our team at Thiepval Barracks, Lisburn, BT28 3NP. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Chef to be part of a busy catering operation, delivering high-quality food and excellent service within a secure military environment.

The Role

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to a high standard, supporting the smooth running of the kitchen and ensuring all food safety and hygiene regulations are followed. You will work closely with the wider catering team to deliver a varied and nutritious food offering for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting food in line with menu specifications and company standards
• Assisting with menu planning and food production to meet customer requirements
• Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness are maintained at all times
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock control and ordering
• Minimising food waste and ensuring effective use of resources
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
• Maintaining compliance with all health & safety and food safety legislation
• Working collaboratively with the catering team to ensure an efficient service

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Chef in a busy catering, hospitality or food service environment
• Knowledge of food safety, allergen management and health & safety procedures
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Relevant food hygiene qualification desirable, although training can be provided
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts across 5 days out of 7

This role is based within a secure military establishment. Successful applicants will be required to undergo security clearance and vetting checks prior to employment.
