We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Bicester, OX25 1PZ. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to support a busy kitchen operation, helping to deliver high-quality food services while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, safety, and teamwork.

What you'll be doing

• Basic food preparation, including the preparation of cold food items
• Following all Health & Safety and food safety procedures
• Receiving deliveries, checking stock, and ensuring correct stock rotation
• Cleaning kitchen areas and equipment to maintain high hygiene standards
• Assisting with pot wash duties and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen
• Supporting chefs and the wider kitchen team during service periods
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure timely and efficient food service
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment

About you

• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
• Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures is desirable
• Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is beneficial but not essential

Important Requirements

• You must have resided in the UK continuously for the past 5 years and have the legal right to work in the UK.
• The successful candidate will be required to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
