Job Description

As a Chef Supervisor, you will work alongside a team of chefs and kitchen assistants, helping to deliver approximately 1,000 meals, three times per day. You will support the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service are maintained at all times.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising kitchen operations and supporting the wider catering team
  • Working with chefs and kitchen assistants to deliver around 1,000 meals, three times per day
  • Preparing quality food within a set pre-ordered menu
  • Ensuring the kitchen remains clean, safe, and organised
  • Conducting stock checks and ensuring stock is managed correctly
  • Completing all relevant paperwork, records, and due diligence documentation
  • Handling customer complaints professionally and effectively
  • Supporting food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance
  • Undertaking relevant training and development activities as required
  • Maintaining excellent standards of customer service and operational delivery

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Previous supervisory experience within a catering or hospitality environment
  • Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications (or equivalent):
    • BSc (Catering)
    • MHCIM
    • HND
    • City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2
    • NVQ Level 2 and Level 3
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice
  • CIEH Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate a team
  • Positive, proactive, and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment

Additional Information

  • Must have resided in the UK for the past 3 years
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
