Job Description

Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a Head Chef to join our team in Aberdeen, AB10 7GJ. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced culinary professional to lead a kitchen team, deliver exceptional food experiences, and play a key role in the success of a busy catering operation.

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the overall management of the kitchen, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food while maintaining excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and motivating the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food and service
  • Planning, preparing, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality meals
  • Managing kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective service
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
  • Managing stock control, ordering, and stock rotation
  • Supporting budget management and minimising waste
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policies and health and safety procedures
  • Training, coaching, and developing team members
  • Building positive relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Driving continuous improvement and maintaining high operational standards

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Head Chef or senior chef position
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Passion for producing high-quality food
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Good knowledge of food safety and health and safety legislation
  • Ability to manage a busy kitchen operation
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to work
