Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join our team in CF23 7BW on a zero hour contract. This flexible role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a customer-focused environment and is looking for work on an as-needed basis.
As a Catering Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day catering operation, ensuring customers receive excellent service and high-quality food throughout the day.

What you'll be doing
- Serving food and beverages to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Assisting with food preparation and basic kitchen duties
- Operating tills and handling customer transactions
- Maintaining cleanliness in food service and dining areas
- Supporting stock replenishment and storage procedures
- Following food safety, allergen, and health & safety regulations
- Assisting with setting up and closing down service areas
- Working collaboratively with the wider catering team
Qualifications
About you
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, retail, or customer service is desirable but not essential
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable, flexible, and adaptable to changing business needs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Food hygiene knowledge is beneficial but training will be provided
