We are currently recruiting for a friendly and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at New College Pontefract. What you'll be doing

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of food and beverages
• Providing excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors
• Operating tills and handling transactions accurately
• Supporting the kitchen and front of house teams during busy service periods
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout catering areas
• Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and service areas
• Assisting with stock replenishment and delivery checks where required
• Following food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures at all times
• Supporting the wider catering team with day-to-day operational requirements

• A positive and customer-focused attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a busy environment
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
• Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards
• Previous catering, hospitality, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential
• Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training

Additional Requirements

• Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain an Enhanced DBS check.
