Are you an experienced hospitality professional looking for your next leadership opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Assistant Group Manager to support the successful delivery of catering services across our operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams, building strong client relationships, and ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained every day.

Working closely with the Group Manager, you will help oversee multiple catering services, support operational excellence, and drive customer satisfaction while developing and motivating teams.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the Group Manager with the day-to-day management of catering operations
• Leading and motivating teams to deliver outstanding food and customer service
• Assisting with operational planning and ensuring service delivery meets client expectations
• Supporting recruitment, training, development, and performance management of team members
• Monitoring food quality, service standards, and customer satisfaction
• Assisting with budget management, stock control, and cost efficiency initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company procedures
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients and key stakeholders
• Supporting the implementation of business objectives and continuous improvement plans
• Providing management cover in the absence of the Group Manager

• Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service management role
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• A customer-focused approach with a passion for service excellence
• Good financial awareness and experience managing budgets or costs
• Knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety, and operational compliance
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload
• A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to support multiple locations when required
