As vehicle architectures evolve towards increasingly integrated and software-defined systems, IDIADA is building new capabilities to address future engineering challenges. The Integrated Motion Control (IMC) initiative is one of these strategic projects, bringing together multiple engineering domains to develop new approaches to system integration, validation and collaboration.
Job Description
MISSION
IDIADA is looking for a highly motivated engineer to join the Integrated Motion Engineering (IMC) team, a strategic innovation project taking place during 2026 and 2027.
The position is focused on supporting the development of a new cross-domain engineering capability, bringing together expertise from braking systems, powertrain, electronics, system engineering, vehicle dynamics, simulation, validation, functional safety and certification.
You will contribute to defining requirements, architectures, engineering processes and validation approaches, while helping different technical teams work together towards a common system-level objective.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Support the definition and management of system requirements and engineering artefacts
- Contribute to the development of system architectures and integration concepts
- Facilitate collaboration between different technical domains and stakeholders
- Support alignment between requirements, architecture, models and validation activities
- Coordinate technical inputs from multiple departments involved in the project
- Help identify gaps, dependencies and integration risks across domains
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies
- Support engagement with external partners, OEMs and suppliers when required
- Promote knowledge sharing and lessons learned across teams
- Contribute to building a reusable engineering framework for future projects
Qualifications
Profile Requirements
We are looking for engineers who enjoy working at the intersection between disciplines.
The ideal candidate should have:
- A good overall understanding of vehicle systems and automotive engineering
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of at least two of the following areas:
- Vehicle Dynamics
- Braking Systems
- Powertrain Systems
- Automotive Electronics
- Control Systems
- Systems Engineering
- Interest in understanding complete vehicle behaviour rather than a single subsystem
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive attitude and willingness to work in a continuously evolving environment
- Ability to work with uncertainty and help shape new processes and ways of working
- Interest in collaboration and coordination activities across multiple departments
Previous experience in systems engineering, integration activities, simulation, validation, functional safety or architecture development will be considered an asset, but is not mandatory.

- University degree: Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering.
- Specialisations such as Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Telecommunications or similar will be considered.
Language Skills
- Fluent Spanish
- Other languages will be considered an asset.
