Job Description
We're looking for a driven Business Development Manager to grow new business across our mental health and wellbeing portfolio. This is a true hunter role — you'll own a pipeline end-to-end, from prospecting through to close, winning new customers for our EAP, psychosocial risk and digital wellbeing solutions. It's ideal for a consultative salesperson who's passionate about mental health and loves the thrill of building something.
What You'll Do
- Win new business – identify, pursue and close new customers across the Mental Health & Wellbeing portfolio, meeting an individual revenue target.
- Hunt and prospect – build your own pipeline through outbound outreach, networking, events and referrals; get in front of HR, health & safety and wellbeing leaders.
- Sell consultatively – understand each organisation's challenges and articulate the value of our tech-enabled, human-centred solutions.
- Lead pursuits – manage proposals, support tenders (RFPs/RFQs) and pricing, drawing on internal subject-matter experts and clinical teams.
- Manage your pipeline – maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and reporting.
- Collaborate – work closely with marketing, clinical, account management and product teams to shape compelling offers and ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.
- Represent the brand – be a credible, professional ambassador for Assure and APM in market.
- Work with the SDR to assist with prospecting – partner with the Sales Development Representative to build and qualify pipeline through coordinated outreach and lead generation activities.
- Respond to inbound enquiries – engage promptly with inbound leads, qualifying opportunities and converting interest into meetings and proposal
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years' proven B2B business development / sales experience, ideally in wellbeing, health, SaaS, EAP, professional services or a related field, with a track record of hitting or exceeding targets.
- A genuine passion for mental health and wellbeing.
- Strong hunting and consultative selling skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles, tenders and pricing/commercial negotiations.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, resilient and organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and a disciplined, pipeline-driven approach.
- Full working rights in Australia; willingness to travel for customer meetings as required.
Why Join Us
- Sell solutions that make a real difference to people's mental health and wellbeing.
- Competitive base salary + commission.

- Backing of a large, established organisation with strong brands and clinical depth — plus the pace and autonomy of a growth business.
- Genuine career development across a growing portfolio.
