  • Hourly pay for this position is to start at CAD20 /hr, plus overtime after 44 hours

Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our Non Ferrous team in Hamilton, ON from Monday-Friday 2.30pm to 11pm . As a labourer you will play a vital role in our daily operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work.

What you’re responsible for:

  • Receive, sort, and process non-ferrous metals (including red metals and aluminum)
  • Sort materials on a shaker table from bin drops
  • Weigh and track materials using the RECY system
  • Prepare shipments and assist with loading/unloading materials
  • Operate a forklift to move materials and equipment (or be trained)
  • Assist with torch cutting when required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Provide basic customer service when needed

Qualifications

To join our team:

  • You have previous experience operating a forklift
  • You have previous experience in metal recycling or an industrial environment
  • You are comfortable working indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
  • You are physical fit and able to perform repetitive lifting up to 50lbs
  • You are able to work well in a team and on your own
