Service Description

Within the Purchasing department, the Services team manages the sourcing of indirect procurement categories, including:

  • Technical and environmental studies
  • Negotiation services
  • Fleet and facility management
  • Audits
  • Other corporate support services

These categories are broad and diverse, requiring strategic thinking and strong stakeholder collaboration.

As a Group Buyer Services, you will take ownership of several product categories representing an annual spend of several tens of millions of euros. You will negotiate framework contracts at both group and local levels and act as a key intermediary between internal stakeholders and suppliers.

You will be part of the Group Services & Maintenance team, contributing to optimising total cost of ownership, improving purchasing processes, and identifying synergies across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop tender strategies and build strong relationships with internal customers to enable efficient, value‑added purchasing.
  • Identify and implement procurement synergies at group level.
  • Manage your categories and contracts strategically and proactively.
  • Define and implement structured, innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct market research, negotiate European and local agreements, and maintain long‑term supplier relationships.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams through open, structured collaboration.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Master’s degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a procurement role; technical purchasing experience is a plus.
  • Fluent reading, writing, and speaking skills in English, French, and Dutch (all three are essential).
  • Experience in project management is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional maturity to build trust with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Analytical thinker and problem solver with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Capable of working autonomously while being an engaged team player.
  • Assertive, structured communication style.
  • Strong negotiation capabilities.
