ETL Developer (IBM Datastage)

Job Description

We are seeking skilled ETL Developers (AD2/AD3) to join a transversal squad/dev team responsible for maintaining and supporting our Data Factory framework. This program is key to delivering a robust Data Aggregation and Curation platform that consolidates, harmonizes, and qualifies operational and referential data into a centralized repository.

As an ETL Developer, you will contribute to the development, support, and evolution of our technologies, ensuring high-quality delivery and working in an environment with growing technological scopes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the full ETL development cycle (analysis, development, testing, and deployment), focusing on IBM Datastage PX and SQL.
  • Perform unit, integration, and automated testing using tools like Octane or Quality Center.
  • Apply recommended best practices and methodologies.
  • Identify innovative solutions and implement proof of concepts based on project needs.
  • Provide maintenance and support for the application portfolio.
  • Develop functional and technical expertise in the application and technology stack.
  • Challenge business and technical requirements and contribute to defining technical solutions.
  • Develop and customize Datastage components and enablers.
  • Monitor performance and address related issues.
  • Deliver projects with high quality and reliability.

Qualifications

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with REST APIs and service/event-oriented architectures.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools: Jenkins, Git, Ansible.
  • Experience in Agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Lean, SCRUM).

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with IBM Datastage PX or similar ETL tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development (Oracle database).
  • Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and Shell scripting (Unix/Linux).
  • Ability to document bug reports, tickets, and code changes.
  • Strong technical analysis and documentation skills.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
