Job Description
We’re looking for a mechanically biased construction professional to support delivery across major infrastructure projects within a highly regulated environment.
This role covers a mix of legacy mechanical structures and new installation works, giving you exposure to both heavy steel equipment and pipework packages.
You’ll operate with a high level of autonomy while working within a principal contractor environment, driving delivery on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading mechanical construction and installation activities on-site
Supporting delivery of:
- Steel structures, tanks, and large mechanical equipment
- Pipework installation and mechanical systems
- Coordinating subcontractors and managing site activities
- Driving programme, safety, and quality performance
- Resolving on-site issues quickly and effectively
- Taking ownership of work packages and delivering independently
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Strong background in mechanical construction / installation
- Experience working on large-scale industrial or regulated projects
Hands-on experience with:
- Steel equipment (e.g. tanks, vessels, structural assemblies)
- Mechanical installation and pipework
- Experience working within a principal contractor environment
- Demonstrated leadership capability on-site
- Able to work autonomously and make decisions quickly
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in sectors such as nuclear, energy, oil & gas, or major infrastructure
- Understanding of strict safety and regulatory environments
