Job Description

As an Instrumentation Engineer specializing in the nuclear sector, you will join ALTEN’s teams and work on the nuclear island of an EPR-type power plant. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Metrology Analysis: Understanding industrial metrological concerns, anticipating risks, and defining tolerance thresholds using measurement instruments.
  • Design and Selection: Designing measurement instruments or selecting them based on technical specifications.
  • Solution Proposals: Providing recommendations for instrumentation needs, collaborating with various departments like R&D and procurement.
  • Technical Oversight: Organizing, monitoring, and reviewing technical study documents and their updates.
  • Testing and Validation: Testing instruments and advising decision-makers on tool relevance.

Qualifications

You have graduated from an Engineering School with at least 4-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an agile context. You show a genuine enthusiasm for the technical aspects of this field.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in English in a professional environment.
  • Strong knowledge of measurement instruments and metrological standards.
  • Proficient in Eurocodes standards and nuclear regulations (ETC-C, RCC-G, RCC-CW).
  • Familiarity with the nuclear environment and best practices related to safety-critical activities, such as installations, systems, equipment, and operations.
