Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

The Veterinary Reception Supervisor leads the front desk team and oversees the daily operations of the reception area to ensure an exceptional client experience. This role is responsible for supervising and coaching reception staff, managing scheduling and workflow, resolving client concerns, and partnering with hospital leadership to support efficient operations and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support the reception team.
  • Oversee daily front desk operations, including scheduling, check-in/check-out, phones, emails, and payment processing.
  • Deliver exceptional client service and professionally resolve escalated concerns.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling to optimize hospital flow.
  • Maintain a welcoming, organized reception area and collaborate with hospital leadership to improve processes.

Work Environment

Work in a veterinary hospital setting with exposure to animal odors, noise, animal waste, bites, scratches, and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications

We’re looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist is required; supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
  • Compassionate, professional, and able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent multitasking and computer skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a desire to learn, grow, and develop professionally.
