Job Overview:
As the Head of Engineering (top engineering leadership), you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our technical strategy, ensuring that our technology stack is scalable, efficient, and robust. You will manage a team of software engineers and collaborate with other departments such as Product, UX/UI, and Operations to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the technical strategy for the company, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives
• Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance on coding standards, design patterns, and development best practices
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and prioritize feature development, bug fixes, and technical debt reduction
• Lead the development and implementation of scalable and efficient software architectures, systems, and processes
• Ensure that software development projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality
• Continuously monitor and assess industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities to improve our technology stack
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure that new features and products are technically feasible and aligned with our overall technical strategy
• Establish and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors as necessary to support our technology roadmap
   

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
• At least 7 years of experience in software development, with a focus on leading engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, software design patterns, and architectural principles
• Proven experience in leading the development and implementation of scalable and efficient software architectures, systems, and processes
• Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and experience with agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and microservices architecture; preferably AWS
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
• Preferred
• Experience working remotely and coordinating tech initiatives with different teams to deliver projects.
• Worked at any stage startup or have developed projects of their own ideas.
