Programme Change Lead (Delivery and Performance Specialist)
- Full-time
Job Description
Kia ora!
Help shape the future of one of New Zealand's most iconic brands.
Air New Zealand is on an accelerated journey to deliver the best flying experience on Earth. As we transform into a modern airline retailer, you will help shape how millions of customers experience travel while enabling our people to embrace new ways of working. If you're passionate about leading enterprise transformation, influencing at every level, and creating lasting organisational change, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
We are looking for an experienced Programme Change Lead (Delivery and Performance Specialist) to help lead this transformation.
This is not a traditional change management role.
We're looking for someone who can lead organisational change at enterprise scale - someone equally comfortable shaping strategy with senior leaders, working alongside delivery teams, and helping operational areas successfully adopt entirely new ways of working.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring one of Air New Zealand's largest strategic investments delivers lasting business value. Working across multiple tribes, operational business units, executive stakeholders and implementation partners, you'll translate complex transformation into practical, achievable change that people understand, embrace and sustain.
This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds trust quickly, simplifies complexity and can create momentum across a programme spanning multiple years.
How you'll make an impact
- Lead organisational change across large, complex transformation initiatives, ensuring people change is embedded from planning through to value realisation.
- Develop enterprise-wide change strategies that prepare teams for future operating models and new ways of working.
- Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, Delivery Leads and business leaders to improve delivery flow, organisational readiness and measurable business outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and programme partners, coaching leaders to confidently lead change across their teams.
- Design engaging communications, learning and adoption activities that support sustainable behavioural change and improve adoption outcomes.
- Use delivery, adoption and performance insights, including AI-enabled analysis where appropriate, to identify risks, improve forecasting and drive continuous improvement.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops that align stakeholders, simplify complexity and build shared ownership across the programme.
Success in this role will be measured through strong organisational adoption, improved delivery outcomes, increased business readiness, and the successful realisation of programme value across multiple business areas.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience leading large-scale business and technology transformation within complex organisations.
- Strong experience integrating delivery leadership and organisational change to achieve measurable business outcomes.
- Excellent programme planning, governance, dependency and risk management capability across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience developing change strategies, readiness plans and adoption approaches that support enterprise transformation.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement, executive influencing and facilitation skills, with the ability to coach leaders through significant change.
- Confidence working in ambiguity, applying systems thinking and sound judgement to complex organisational challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and create alignment across diverse audiences.
- Experience working in agile, iterative delivery environments where value is delivered incrementally.
Take flight and apply now
This is a rare opportunity to influence one of the largest business and technology transformations in Air New Zealand's history. You will work alongside senior leaders, product teams, delivery specialists and global implementation partners to help redefine how Air New Zealand operates for the next decade.
