Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. This position is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, preparing reconciliations, analyzing account data, participating in month-end close, and performing general accounting duties within the Accounting Department. The Senior Accountant reports to the Controller and have broad exposure to other teams.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
•    Perform general ledger account reconciliations and analytics to support financial reporting. Demonstrate an understanding of the business functions and transactions that drive general ledger account balances, as well as identifying, documenting, and clearing reconciling items on a timely basis.
•    Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of all operational management accounts.
•    Support the preparation of internal and external reports, including financial statements, regulatory, budget, audit, and ad-hoc reports as needed
•    Analyze and accurately reconcile various bank accounts, credit cards and accounts receivable 
•    Support the accounts payable function as a back-up. Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with Accounting policies and procedures.
•    Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. 
•    Support the finance team in conducting business performance analytics. Work with Controller in continual improvement of relevant analysis and identify improvements.
•    Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, AR, AP, accruals and prepaid expenses.
•    Assist the Controller and CFO with the day-to-day accounting transactions.
 

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience in Telecom industry a plus

·       Relevant certification (e.g. CA/CPA or CMA)

Skills and Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 
•    In-depth understanding of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S.) 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically, Excel 
•    Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently 
•    Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
•    Must have experience working directly with US partners/clients 
•    Must be proficient in English, both oral and written 
•    Able to work evening/night hours
