Job Description

We're looking for a talented and visionary Urban Designer to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in conceptualizing and designing innovative urban development projects that shape vibrant, sustainable communities and enhance quality of life across the region. Working collaboratively with architects, planners, engineers, and stakeholders, you will help create compelling urban spaces that drive positive economic and social impact while respecting local culture and context.   • Develop comprehensive urban design concepts and frameworks for residential, commercial, mixed-use, and public space development projects
  • Conduct detailed site analysis and feasibility studies to inform strategic design recommendations and solutions
  • Create master plans, urban design guidelines, and technical documentation that align with sustainability principles and local regulations
  • Utilize advanced urban design software and tools to produce compelling visualizations, 3D models, and professional technical drawings
  • Engage collaboratively with clients, government agencies, municipal authorities, and community stakeholders to understand project requirements and present innovative design solutions
  • Analyze demographic data, market trends, site conditions, and local context to support informed and strategic design decisions
  • Collaborate with landscape architects, transportation planners, sustainability consultants, and other specialists to integrate best practices and holistic solutions
  • Ensure all designs comply with Saudi Arabia building codes, zoning regulations, municipal guidelines, and Islamic urban design principles
  • Prepare clear, professional, and compelling presentations of design concepts, project updates, and recommendations for clients and leadership
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all deliverables, design documentation, and project coordination
  • Stay current with emerging urban design trends, technologies, sustainable development practices, and regional development standards
  • Support the coordination and organization of multidisciplinary project teams to ensure seamless and efficient project execution
  • Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment that values innovation, transparency, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Urban Design, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in urban design, masterplanning, or related disciplines
  • Advanced proficiency in urban design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, ArcGIS, and Revit
  • Strong knowledge of urban planning principles, zoning regulations, design standards, and building codes
  • Demonstrated expertise in sustainable urban design and green building practices
  • Proven experience developing master plans and mixed-use development projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Project management and coordination capabilities
  • Experience with Middle Eastern urban development projects (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Islamic urban design principles and cultural considerations (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Saudi Arabia building codes and regulatory requirements (preferred)
  • Proficiency in presentation software and graphic design tools (preferred)
  • Ability to work flexibly in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
