Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a Systems Management Administrator V for immediate employment to work remotely, or in LA, CA. The System Administrator/Database Administrator will provide IT back-office technical support, end-user and implementation support for an Enterprise Asset Management software system. This role is responsible for ensuring the overall functionality and reliability of the software tool as the system of record for asset, inspection, maintenance and repair information. This role will work collaboratively with the EAM implementation project team, the software vendor, IT department and end-users in trouble-shooting issues, administering system access, configuration changes, performing system updates and upgrades.  The goal is to ensure data integrity, optimize system performance, automate workflows, and provide actionable reporting to maximize the lifecycle, reliability, and value of the organization’s physical assets. Responsibilities to include:

  • System Setup: Manage and configure EAM application modules, user access, security groups, and permissions to align with business policies.

  • Data Management: Oversee the accuracy, integrity, and standardization of master data, including asset hierarchy, location data, and bill of materials (BOMs).

  • Workflow Automation: Design, test, and implement automated workflows, service requests, and maintenance work order processes.

  • Integration Support: Manage integrations between the EAM system and other platforms including the client’s Oracle FIS.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Design, generate, and analyze reports and dashboards regarding key performance indicators (KPIs) like asset uptime, repair costs, and downtime to inform decision-making.

  • Data Accuracy Audits: Perform regular QA/QC checks to ensure complete and up-to-date asset records and maintenance histories.

  • End-User Training and Technical Support: Support on-going user training efforts to ensure high adoption rates of EAM best practices among staff. Provide troubleshooting and technical assistance for system issues and trouble-shooting.

  • Upgrades & Patches: Coordinate and perform system upgrades, patches, and fixes, working with the vendor to test functionality.

  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure EAM usage complies with internal policies and external regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certification in EAM system administration (vendor-specific certifications preferred)
  • Experience in systems administration, database administration, or IT operations support
  • Experience with Oracle Financial Information System (FIS) or similar enterprise financial platforms
  • Demonstrated experience administering Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, preferably with platforms such as SAP, Oracle EAM, Infor EAM, or similar solutions
  • Proficiency with database management and SQL query writing
  • Strong knowledge of system security, user access controls, and permission management
  • Experience with data management, data integrity validation, and master data governance
  • Proven ability to design, configure, and troubleshoot automated workflows and business processes
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical end-users
  • Experience providing end-user training and technical support in enterprise software environments
