Job Description

This role is with a well-established, stable and growing firm located in the Walnut Creek area. They offer real career growth and competitive compensation. Remote and hyrbid roles are available and they hire candidates from all over the country.

It will be integral to the tax planning of individuals, trusts and businesses and will apply tax expertise along with a deep understanding of laws, regulations and standards to formulate client related recommendations.  

Responsibilities will include the technical review of tax returns while collaborating  with partners, clients and senior accountants to identify, explain, and resolve tax issues to ensure that client relationships are fostered and grow.

Qualifications

  • Has earned a bachelor’s, preferably Masters, degree with an emphasis on Tax
  • Is a licensed CPA
  • Has 7+ years of experience with High Net Worth Individual, Gift/Estate& Trust Tax
  • Has performed exceptionally in environments that required high level of technical tax proficiency
  • Is experienced with and ability to research complex tax issues
  • Has a depth of experience which lends itself to the ability rapidly resolve unique issues and concerns in creative ways
  • Is able to establish, maintain and grow relationships with customers
  • Has experience mentoring and leading growing teams focused on Gift, Estate & Trust and HNWI tax
  • Is an excellent verbal and written communicator
