Job Description

Location:

Preferred Northwest of England and Yorkshire. Remote working with frequent office and client sites visits.

Contract Type:

Permanent, full time.

What this role requires:

  • A general understanding of water and sewage treatment processes and the associated equipment/system requirements.
  • Experience in drainage design including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS).
  • Knowledge of industry standard drainage networks design.
  • Competence in the use of AutoCAD
  • Proven track record in coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects on time and to budget.
  • First class written and oral communication skills.
  • A natural curiosity for developing innovative, sustainable and cost-effective solutions for our clients.
  • Experience of team working on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Sound commercial understanding.
  • Team builder, developing the technical excellence of our team.
  • Able to develop and motivate others.
  • Proven record of developing client relationships.
  • Attained or working towards relevant professional qualification.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop concepts & detailed designs for the water industry.
  • Management of workload, delivering projects to time and to budget.
  • Maintain high levels of awareness of the implementation of changes in legislation.
  • Identify business development opportunities.
  • Prepare financial and technical proposals for project opportunities.
  • Co-ordination with multidisciplinary teams working on the projects and site team.
  • Client and stakeholder interface.

Desirable Skills/Attributes

  • Hydraulic modelling – preferably Causeway Flow or Microdrainage.
  • Competence in the use of Civil3D.
