Job Description
Acumatica is hiring a Distinguished Architect, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to drive AI & ML strategy impacting organizational transformation to establish ourselves as undisputed AI leader in our space. You have a deep understanding of AI & ML technologies and will apply that to Acumatica business, both internally and for our partners and customers.
This role reports to the Chief Engineering Officer. Here are some of the responsibilities…
- Create and communicate comprehensive AI/ML strategy proposals to company leadership articulating the value, potential impact, and roadmap for implementation. The result should be a clear cross-company path to strategy, tactics, activities, timeline, budget, ownership, and impact.
- Define and drive company-wide AI governance, policies, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to align business needs of our customers, AI/ML strategy and execution which results into specifications and actionable roadmaps with measurable impact.
- Provide thought leadership to a team of AI professionals, setting clear goals, and leading the team to achieve breakthrough results in the development and deployment of AI-driven solutions.
- Regularly report to the executive team and key stakeholders on actionable AI initiatives, providing insights into progress, timelines, and expected returns.
- Conduct market analysis to stay on top of AI/ML trends and competitors, leveraging insights to guide strategic decisions.
- Drive partnerships and collaborations that enhance Acumatica's AI capabilities and market positioning.
- Represent Acumatica in various forums to showcase our investment AI/ML.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields). An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field is highly preferred.
- 15+ years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in providing technical leadership in enterprise scale AI and ML preferably within a SaaS or cloud computing environments.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful AI/ML solutions in a business context.
- Strong technical acumen, with the ability to translate complex AI/ML concepts into actionable business items.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in nurturing talent and guiding teams to achieve ambitious goals.

For this role, the salary range is $220,000-$260,000 annually. This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job and may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant elements.
At Acumatica, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
