Company Description

We’re Ace & Tate – and yes, we make glasses. But more than that, we make working here worth your while.

We are looking for a Regional Optometrist UK, Ireland, Denmark and Spain, 40 hours. You’ll be based in London, working closely with our stores, Regional Managers, and Head Optometrist across the UK, Ireland, Denmark and Spain.

What our Regional Optometrists do

  • Deliver high-quality eye tests in store by testing two days a week (including one weekend day) and lead by example in clinical care.
  • Be the clinical link between HQ and stores by translating clinical strategy, protocols, and projects into clear ways of working across the region.
  • Coach and develop optical teams. Visit stores to observe, coach, audit records, and support performance and clinical KPIs.
  • Keep clinical standards and compliance sharp by ensuring dispensing guidelines, test room standards, CPD, and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
  • Drive regional performance insights. Own trade analysis, spot risks and opportunities, and work with Regional Managers to improve results.
  • Support workforce planning and hiring by managing locum usage and partner with Recruitment on hiring, onboarding, and probation.
  • Deliver projects and improvements by supporting the Head Optometrist on new services, SOPs, and training content to continuously raise the bar.
  • Fully qualified Optometrist (3+ years post-registration). Experienced in high-volume environments and confident balancing care with commercial impact.
  • London-based and mobile. Based in London (or commutable) and happy to travel regularly across the UK, Ireland, Denmark and Spain.
  • Commercially minded, people-first leader by coaching teams with clarity, empathy, and accountability.

What we offer

  • £66,000 – £73,000 per year based on full-time, plus up to 16% monthly bonus when store targets are reached. Salary offered within this range depends on experience.
  • No worries about your study debt as we’ll take care of any repayments still tied to your current employer.
  • Time to recharge with 28 days of holiday entitlement, increasing up to 33 days after two years of service based on full-time employment.
  • We care about you by offering wellbeing support, including healthy snacks, a collaboration with ClassPass, and the opportunity to book free sessions with a certified psychologist through OpenUp.
  • See in style by enjoying discount codes for free and discounted opticals and sunglasses.
  • A culture to love through frequent and memorable team events.
  • Time to grow with unlimited access to our internal learning portal.
