Job Description

We're looking for a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Sales Manager to join our sales team in Jakarta, Indonesia. In this pivotal role, you will support the development and execution of comprehensive sales strategies while driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external clients, you will help translate organizational sales objectives into actionable hotel approaches, ensuring consistent client engagement and loyalty. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership capabilities while making a meaningful impact on our business performance.

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with organizational goals, identifying business opportunities and market trends to drive revenue growth and increase market share
  • Manage relationships with corporate (B2B) clients, wholesalers, travel agencies, and MICE companies, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction through proactive communication and strategic account management
  • Collaborate with internal teams including the Director of Sales, Revenue Management, Marketing, and Account Managers to maintain a unified "one face to the customer" approach and preserve client loyalty
  • Analyze market data and business performance metrics using sales tools and systems to track trends, identify opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations for strategic improvements
  • Support the onboarding and mentoring of new sales team members, sharing best practices and fostering a strong sales culture throughout the organization
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses using Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools to communicate insights to senior management
  • Promote and enroll clients in loyalty programs, maximizing enrollment rates and enhancing customer retention strategies
  • Participate actively in sales and revenue meetings, ensuring consistent communication of sales initiatives and performance updates across all hotel departments
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients while maintaining transparency and upholding organizational standards and policies

Qualifications

**Required Skills:**

  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong sales techniques and consultative selling approach
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, sales tools, and distribution/reservation platforms
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated negotiation and persuasion capabilities
  • Time management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities

**Required Experience:**

  • Minimum 5 years of professional sales experience in a corporate or hospitality environment
  • Proven track record in B2B client management and account development
  • Experience managing relationships with corporate clients, wholesalers, and travel agencies
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals
  • Experience with sales strategy development and market analysis

**Required Education:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, Sales, Marketing, or related field

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Hotel operational or hospitality industry experience
  • Experience with revenue management and pricing strategies
  • Knowledge of the Jakarta market and regional business landscape
  • Certification in sales management or professional sales training
  • Experience mentoring and developing sales team members
