Job Description
Provide accurate and timely accounts payable, purchasing, receiving and general finance support. The role assists with stocktakes, reconciliations and inventory control, while providing receiving coverage during leave and busy operational periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices, purchase orders and supporting documentation accurately and in line with hotel financial controls.
- Assist with supplier statement reconciliations, invoice discrepancies, payment preparation and month-end finance activities.
- Undertake purchasing and receiving duties, including checking deliveries against purchase orders and delivery dockets.
- Accurately record goods received and promptly follow up quantity, quality, price or delivery discrepancies.
- Assist with monthly stocktakes, inventory reconciliations and investigation of stock variances.
- Provide relief coverage for the Receiving function during annual leave, personal leave and peak periods.
- Assist with physical deliveries, movement and storage of goods, applying safe manual-handling practices.
- Maintain accurate finance and receiving records and provide general administrative support to the Finance team.
- Complete other reasonable finance and administrative duties as directed.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
- Experience in accounts payable, finance administration, purchasing, receiving or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Sound Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and operational departments.
- Hospitality, purchasing/inventory-system and stocktake experience is desirable.
