Job Description

We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic AV Technician to join our dynamic team in Visakhapatnam, India. In this role, you'll be the technical backbone of our events and presentations, ensuring that every audio-visual experience is seamless, professional, and impactful. You'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your expertise in AV systems directly contributes to the success of our events, conferences, and entertainment programs.   • Install, set up, and configure professional audio-visual equipment, including projectors, microphones, sound systems, lighting rigs, video monitors, cameras, and video conferencing systems
  • Ensure all AV equipment is clean, properly maintained, and fully functional before events, presentations, and live productions
  • Operate and control audio-visual systems during events, managing live audio mixing, video switching, and lighting to deliver high-quality sound and visuals
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventive care on AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with AV systems and equipment efficiently, implementing solutions to minimize downtime
  • Repair faulty equipment or coordinate with external service providers to arrange timely repairs
  • Provide responsive technical support to event organizers, presenters, performers, and end-users of AV equipment
  • Assist with setup, operation, and breakdown during live events, ensuring smooth delivery and professional execution
  • Collaborate closely with event coordinators, IT teams, performers, and other stakeholders to understand and meet specific technical requirements
  • Manage and monitor the inventory of AV equipment, ensuring accurate records and organized storage
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of equipment configurations, operational procedures, troubleshooting steps, and maintenance schedules
  • Coordinate with bands, performers, and singers during sound checks, stage setup, and technical rider management
  • Work flexibly across rotating shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays to support event schedules and operational needs

Qualifications

**Experience:**

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience as an AV Technician or in a similar technical role
  • Demonstrated experience in luxury hospitality, events, entertainment, live production, or corporate AV environments
  • Hands-on experience with live sound mixing, video switching, lighting control, and event setup
  • Proven ability to install, operate, and maintain professional AV equipment including PA systems, mixers, amplifiers, projectors, LED screens, microphones, lighting consoles, and video displays
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in fast-paced, live event settings

**Technical Skills & Knowledge:**

  • Strong technical knowledge of professional audio, video, lighting, and conferencing systems
  • Proficiency in signal flow, cabling, power distribution, and equipment connectivity
  • Solid understanding of equipment safety standards and electrical safety protocols
  • Ability to operate and configure various AV platforms and control systems
  • Familiarity with both wired and wireless microphone systems
  • Knowledge of sound reinforcement principles and audio mixing techniques

**Education & Certifications:**

  • Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, or a related technical discipline is highly advantageous
  • Relevant industry certifications in AV systems or audio engineering are preferred

  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
