Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and confident Night Manager to join our Front Office team on a full‑time basis. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s overnight operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and financial accuracy.

As the Duty Manager on the overnight shift, you will manage the night audit process, supervise the night team, and ensure smooth business operations during overnight hours.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the end‑to‑end night audit process, including reconciliation of daily revenue and preparation of reports
  • Overseeing the overnight operation of the hotel, ensuring operations run smoothly
  • Acting as the primary escalation point for guest enquiries, concerns and emergency situations
  • Ensuring all guest accounts, reservations and billing are accurate and compliant
  • Monitoring hotel occupancy and supporting revenue optimisation initiatives
  • Maintaining strict adherence to cash handling, auditing and compliance procedures
  • Ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff and the property at all times
  • Leading, supporting and supervising the night team to deliver a high standard of service
  • Communicating effectively with all departments to ensure continuity between day and night operations
  • Assisting with general Front Office duties and stepping into operational roles as required

This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail‑oriented and enjoys working independently while leading a small team in a fast‑paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience in a Night Manager, Night Audit or senior Front Office role
  • Strong knowledge of hotel property management systems; Opera Cloud experience highly regarded
  • Solid financial acumen with high attention to detail
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions independently
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
  • Ability to manage overnight operations calmly and effectively
  • A commitment to guest service excellence and safety
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays
