Job Description

The Finance Lead will drive the financial planning and analysis processes, requirements, and important team projects across the US Oncology business. Ensures compliance with financial policies, prepares management analyses of actual vs. benchmark results, prepares ad hoc financial analyses, and implements process improvements for direct areas of responsibility. Provides accurate and timely FP&A deliverables and financial insights for US Oncology Leadership to support decision-making and enhance business performance. In addition, acts as a business partner for C&O and Commercial VP SG&A budget management.

Responsibilities: 

  • Drives monthly closing and quarterly forecast packages ensuring that all Oncology finance teams deliver the required information (ex. Sales, P&L details, FTEs) needed for consolidation purposes; Supports the Annual Plan, Long-Range Plan (LRP) and Latest Best Estimate (LBE) consolidation, including general coordination and communications, calendar updating, templates and slides review and updating for Sales, P&L, headcount, SG&A, Capital and other ad hoc requirements.

  • Prepares required planning cycle’s submission templates for C&O and VP SG&A, including timely system loading / data validation, and provides meaningful commentary on variances vs. benchmarks as necessary.

  • Ensures planning systems (ex. BPC, Workiva) integrity validation and tie out for each process cycle and overall folder structure creation in the network for adequate storage of each cycles’ slides, templates and backups.

  • Operates independently to prepare relevant variance analyses for each planning cycle and develops meaningful management reporting schedules.

  • Works directly with FSS contact on monthly close processes and financial reporting to ensure complete, accurate and timely monthly actual results, including variance analyses and commentary for P&L, headcount, and balance sheet. Understands monthly results and communicates issues vs. benchmark to businesses supported to agree on resolution or action plan.

  • Provides management with timely and clear insights into drivers of business and financial performance; assesses risks, opportunities and informs/recommends prioritization decisions.

  • Contributes to the finance system transformation, developing and enhancing reports in BPC.

  • Executes financial reviews and approvals (purchase order requests and invoices) and collaborates with FSS to ensure appropriate accruals are booked for Purchase Order activity and invoices.

  • Completes and/or supports leadership on ad hoc analyses, projects and process improvements as needed.

  • Drives the financial management for C&O and VP SG&A budgets, acting as business partner with a focus on optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 6+ years of progressive and related experience.
  • Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficient Excel skills required.
  • Knowledge of SAP and BPC a plus.
