We are recruiting a Senior Microbiologist to join our QC team on site in Ballytivnan, Sligo on a 12-month contract.

In your role as a Senior Microbiologist, you will be responsible for providing an effective and analytical service to the plant ensuring that that products manufactured are tested to specification on time and plant quality and safety goals are met. This position will take responsibility for ensuring the timely testing and release of all raw materials, in-process, finished product, stability and contract testing.

What you will do:

  • Maintain and align with Laboratory Documentation and Computerized Systems Data Integrity requirements
  • Understand Regulations and business processes required to maintain Laboratory Data Integrity and ensure implemention.
  • Carry out environmental and product microbiological tests as required
  • Define and update procedures for plant relative to microbiological and environmental testing.
  • Lead validation of equipment and test methods for microbiological tests.
  • Lead Test method transfer of microbiological methods
  • Further develop and streamline microbiological laboratory procedures.
  • Maintain and approve up-to-date and detailed records of all tests performed
  • Adheres to and supports all EHS & E standards, procedures and policies.
  • Lead and support any lab related investigations.

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • 3rd level qualification in relevant Science discipline
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Pharma industry
  • 5 years in a lab-based role
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Must have strong knowledge of HPLC, GC,LCMS, GCMS, Automatic titration, Identification techniques.
