Job Description
Candidates will be hired at either Grade 18 or Grade 19, with the level commensurate with experience.
Perform all aspects of account management, including developing and maintaining strategic business relationships with corporate and senior management staff in key accounts with the goal of establishing multi-level relationships to increase representative access, develop new business, maximize resource utilization, and increase sales and market share of the assigned product.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow sales and market share across assigned institutional accounts.
- Build and maintain strategic business relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders within neurology and urology departments and associated hospital systems.
- Partner with internal cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and execute account opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Provide strategic and tactical direction regarding target accounts to regional and district teams.
- Advise sales and marketing management with appropriate direction on challenges and opportunities within key target accounts.
- Assess team learning needs across each channel and coordinate the delivery of targeted training to strengthen performance.
- Develop an annual business plan with goals and objectives to increase sales volume and market share in target accounts across all FDA-approved indications.
- Routinely identify local opportunities and threats and develop or modify business plans accordingly.
- Anticipate change and take proactive measures to address shifts in the customer and market landscape.
- Understand and effectively utilize a broad range of financial and quantitative data and analyses.
- Assess business impact of target account opportunities, including overall profitability and impact on sales.
- Partner with Field Sales Managers to evaluate and penetrate institutional account drivers within the territory.
- Brings account-level analysis, identifies opportunities, and recommends actions to grow volume and share.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and industry requirements.
- Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment, as applicable.

- Neurology, urology, pain, and movement centers within:
- Teaching hospitals
- IDNs
- VA hospitals
- DoD hospitals
- Other institutional accounts aligned to the territory strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
Minimum 2 years sales or account management experience. - 3+ Years of Health Science Field or Sales experience with a minimum of 2 years in pharmaceutical sales. In lieu of degree 8+ Years of Health Science Sales experience with minimum of 4 years in pharmaceutical sales.
- Demonstrated ability to network and partner effectively across functional areas.
- Excellent organizational/project management and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Proven record of managing multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
- An essential requirement of your position is to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory. You must also be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials.
- These HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases, fingerprinting and specific licenses required by individual state or cities.
