Job Description

The Immunology Payer Strategy team leads development and execution of the pricing, contracting, and messaging strategy for AbbVie’s Immunology portfolio (SKYRIZI, RINVOQ, and HUMIRA) across major PBM, health plan, and employer customers. This team sits within the Market Access function but works regularly with the Immunology brand teams and Finance as a critical business partner.
This position will work closely with the Immunology Payer Strategy Channel leads and the Finance team to own portfolio-level Market Access integration for all financial planning processes (LRP, PLAN, LBE). This individual will coordinate Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and Specialty Pharmacy assumptions; align rates, AARs/KPMs and volumes with Pricing, Finance, Forecasting, Trade and Contracting; conduct targeted account follow-ups; and develop executive commentary and leadership-review materials through senior leadership reviews.

Major responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead the end-to-end Market Access workstream for each IMM LRP/PLN/LBE cycle: align assumptions for SKYRIZI, RINVOQ, and HUMIRA across Payer Channels (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid) and coordinate with Trade on Specialty Pharmacy. Track and adjust AAR schedules. Synthesize assumptions and recommendations into executive summary slides for IMM Leadership
  • Own recurring assumption alignment with Price Forecasting teams through separate HUMIRA and SKYRIZI/RINVOQ forums. Validate rates and strategic assumptions with Price Forecasting, Contracting and MAx Payer Strategy; maintain a common view of rates, segmentation, AAR/KPM timing, Specialty Pharmacy discounts and account-specific developments; review price waterfalls and AAR schedules before leadership discussions; document decisions, owners and timing; proactively coordinate follow-ups; and ensure approved assumptions remain consistent across PLAN, LBE/KPM and leadership outputs.
  • Own recurring Price Update communications issued approximately monthly/quarterly and as market events warrant. Monitor pricing and contracting developments, synthesize implications for the IMM portfolio, validate inputs with appropriate partners and distribute a concise leadership-ready update.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from Market Access Marketing, account teams, payer-strategy and cross-functional partners. Clarify the business question; locate and validate the relevant pricing, access, contracting, segmentation or financial inputs; provide analyses, slides, talking points or source data
  • Effectively build relationships and influence across a large matrix of cross-functional stakeholders (Market Access Leadership, Account Management teams, Brand, Medical / Regulatory, OEC, MABI, Finance, Contracting, Government Affairs / Advocacy, Legal) to ensure pull through of Portfolio Market Access Strategy
  • Encourage and embody an “All for One AbbVie” enterprise approach through constant curiosity and learning / sharing of best practices
