Job Description

Our Lumino Mobile 3 Unit is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis.

Our mobile dental units visit secondary schools throughout the Auckland region, making it easier for students to access dental care without parents needing to take time away from work or students missing important school time.

As a Dental Assistant, you'll work alongside an experienced team of clinicians, supporting a variety of dental procedures and helping to ensure every patient receives a positive experience. You'll also be responsible for:

  • Assisting clinicians during appointments and procedures
  • Instrument sterilisation and infection control
  • Managing stock and supplies
  • Providing occasional reception support and patient assistance

Hours

The mobile unit operates during school terms only, with regular working hours of:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Previous Dental Assistant experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Sterilisation and/or customer service experience would be advantageous
  • A warm, positive attitude and a team-focused approach
  • Strong attention to detail and a reliable work ethic
  • Confidence using computers and learning new systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient care
  • A valid NZ work rights

No dental experience? No problem! Full training will be provided for the right person with the right attitude.

Additional Information

Location

As the Mobile Unit travels between school sites, you'll meet the unit onsite for the duration of each placement. Flexibility and the ability to travel to various locations across Auckland are essential.
