While fully built buses come in a wide range from 12 seaters to 67 seaters, Chassis options vary from 4 tonne GVW (5m length) to 16 tonne GVW (12m length).

About Position:-

Position: "Product Design Engineer"

Location:-Dharwad

Experience: 4-15 yrs.

Job Role Summary:

1. Should be able to Design Bus structures 

2. Should be able to Integrate all aggregates of Bus and Chassis as per regulations 

3. Analyze Structural strength of Components and Structures 

4. Monitor and deliver designs in agreed timelines 

5. Should be able to communicate with other departments and suppliers for delivering products as per requirement. 

6. Should be able to design Mechanisms, Emg. Doors, Flaps, Wipers Hinges, etc 

7. Analyze parts using CAE 

8. Should be able to create TPL and BOM using PLM 

9. Monitor and deliver designs in agreed timelines 

10. Able to handle a team of 3 – 4 designers’/ team members 

11. Should be able to communicate with other departments and suppliers for delivering products as per requirement 

Technical Competencies 

1. Good understanding of Engg. Drawings (2D/3D) 

2. Solidworks & Catia V4/V5 Experience of 1 – 2 years desirable

3. Exposure to Autocad 

4. Exposure to MS office (MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word etc) is must 

5. Experience in preparation of BOM, Drawing release (Added Advantage) 

6. Strong Knowledge on Plastics, Surfacing & Sheet Metal Design
