Job Description

This position is responsible for sales and increasing sales within assigned territory. Works with Sales Management as a resource to assist in relationships with Key Accounts. This position will provide ongoing support to product distribution channel by maintaining relationships with customers. As the main point of contact, communicate pricing structure, inventory amounts, and marketing programs.  Accountable for accurate customer information and sales order processing information.

 

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  •    Works to communicate and build commercial sales through organizational skills, account strategies, negotiations, marketing plans, sales closings and territory planning to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained. 
  • Work directly with customers to build relationships with key decision makers to ensure a high level of customer retention and satisfaction as directed.  Develop and produce bids, sales orders and proformas for customers.  Coordinate with Operations on open order reports.  Coordinate with the Accounting department to assist in account management. 
  • Work to support additional growth opportunities in all Professional segments.
  • Assist in establishing, maintaining and managing sales related communications.
  • Contribute to and participate in sales related training.
  • Keep informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to.  Check on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining new accounts.

  • Communicate effectively core competencies, brand promise and products. Educate customers on terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer expectations.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Travel to markets, as directed or as business status requires.
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

At least three years of sales experience.  Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.  Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English and French language. 

PROFICIENCY QUALIFICATIONS:

Five plus years of sales experience with a tabletop organization.  Hands-on knowledge of commercial foodservice needs.  Excellent formal presentation skills in front of both small and large groups.  Experience managing large territories and diverse product offerings.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to travel independently within company headquarters and in other communities to attend various meetings.
  2. Ability to sit for long periods of time.  The staff member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.  The staff member is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop.  The staff member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to work under stress, interruptions and tight deadlines.
  2. Independent judgement to propose sales project guidelines, follow-through and completion.
  3. Ability to work proficiently with database applications.
  4. Ability to prioritize work, problem solve, and communicate proficiently in verbal and written forms.

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL/MOTOR SKILLS:

  1. Ability to converse and write in a knowledgeable manner on various ZF products/services and “sell” to prospective customers.
  2. Ability to create action plans for acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones.
  3. Ability to utilize Zwiesel Fortessa Americas information system and programs.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  1. Ability to converse verbally and in writing with others regarding Zwiesel Fortessa’s products and services with co-workers and customers.
  2. Ability to interact effectively with co-workers in order to prioritize workflow, request assistance if needed and assist others in achieving company goals.
