In the past three years, Zoro Tools has grown from a group of 6 people working out of a 2,000 square foot building, offering fewer than 100,000 products to a group of 80+ destined for a new 60,000+ square foot building, offering more than 400,000 unique products.

Since our launch three years ago we have assembled a collaborative group of 13 in our technology wing here, but this will be our first dedicated resource to own front end development. The individual we select will responsive our designs, MV our C's, and HTML our 5's all while having our site render faster & making it all look easy.

The “chosen one” will also

·         Build & maintain awesome web applications both for our external ecommerce platform and internal tools

·         Work with UI/UX designers to implement sites using modern-day best practices to serve all kinds of users across all kinds of devices

·         Continually optimize & improve our sites performance

And if that weren’t enough reason to get out of bed and tie your shoes, you can also help us formulate and implement a mobile strategy; make our site a pleasure to use from multiple devices and with multiple browsers; and help us create a plan to structure our code.

We believe this position will require some combination of the following:

·         BS degree in Computer Science or a related field

·         3-5 years experience building modern web applications for public-facing websites

·         Knowledge of working with the latest in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript

·        Ability to develop seamlessly across different browsers

·         Experience with jQuery

·         Experience working in an Agile environment a plus

·         Experience in design a plus

·         Experience in working with LESS/SASS a plus

·         Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone or Angular a plus

·         Experience with Python a plus
