Job Description

As a Senior Sales Analyst at zooplus, you will join our Shopping & Markets Analytics team within the Data & Analytics division acting as a strategic analytics partner for our Regional Sales and Commercial teams across Europe.

You will own a portfolio of analytical products, reporting solutions and business insights that support commercial decision-making across multiple markets and functions. Working closely with Sales, Growth / Category managers, Pricing and Leadership stakeholders, you will identify growth opportunities, challenge assumptions, drive KPI governance and provide actionable recommendations that drive business performance and support the future growth of zooplus.

Shopping & Markets Analytics mission

The Shopping & Markets Analytics team empowers product and business teams to make better decisions by transforming transactional and behavioral data into clear insights and actionable recommendations. 

We partner closely with stakeholders across the full commercial lifecycle, from performance analysis and opportunity identification to impact assessment and business steering. By combining business understanding with advanced analytics, we help teams unlock growth opportunities, accelerate decision-making and foster a strong data-driven culture across zooplus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic analytics partner for Regional Sales stakeholders across Europe, supporting data-driven decision-making and business growth.

  • Identify commercial opportunities and performance drivers through in-depth analysis of sales, pricing, promotions, customer behavior and market trends.

  • Own and continuously improve dashboards, reporting solutions and KPI frameworks that support business steering and performance monitoring.

  • Design and maintain scalable analytical datasets and data marts, ensuring reliable and efficient access to business insights.

  • Lead complex analytical projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams including Sales, Pricing, CRM, Category Management and Data Science.

  • Leverage AI, automation and modern analytics tools to improve analytical efficiency and enable self-service analytics.

  • Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.

  • Promote a data-driven culture by helping stakeholders understand, access and act on data. 

Qualifications

Skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science or a related analytical field. 

  • 5+ years of experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence or Commercial analytics roles, preferably within e-commerce, retail or digital businesses. 

  • Advanced SQL expertise, including large-scale data analysis, query optimization and development of analytical datasets.

  • Strong experience with Tableau, Power BI or similar BI and data visualization tools. 

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of sales, pricing, promotions, customer behavior and e-commerce performance metrics.

  • Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations and influence stakeholder decisions.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior business stakeholders.

  • Experience working with cloud-based analytics environments and modern data platforms. 

  • Proactive, business-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving business needs and stakeholder priorities. 

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with digital behavioral or event-based data and translating customer interactions into actionable business insights.

  • Experience with Python or R for analytics, automation or modelling.

  • Experience building self-service analytics solutions and scalable reporting frameworks.

  • Experience with forecasting, experimentation or other advanced analytical methodologies.

  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled analytics tools to improve analytical efficiency and business decision-making.

  • Experience leading cross-functional analytics initiatives or mentoring other analysts.
