Job Description

The Relocation Steering Manager is responsible for:

  • Managing tactical steering of Zooplus inter-warehouse stock transfers ('Relocations'), including day-to-day activities such as approving article proposals, managing pallet backlog, and planning transport between fulfilment centres.
  • Analysing and reporting on Relocation KPIs, conducting deep-dives on pain-points, and using available data sources and tools to evaluate and improve Relocation effectiveness.
  • Ensuring continuous improvement of the Relocation process through identification and implementation of optimization opportunities, contributing to cross-departmental projects as needed.
  • Acting as a communication interface between internal and external parties, participating in operations meetings and high-level progress reviews.
  • Collaborating with internal tech teams to enhance system capabilities and automate key processes.
  • Providing regular detailed reporting to relevant stakeholders and training/coaching colleagues to shape a high-performance culture within the department.
  • Challenging the status quo and encouraging critical thinking to optimize sourcing and replenishment strategies for long-term strategic development of relocation processes and tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a quantitative focus and 7+ years of experience in a project oriented and/or analytically focused role.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL and Power BI is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and present complex ideas.
  • Strong team player with experience in cross-functional environments; experience working with IT development teams desirable.
